As coach Butch Jones and the Tennessee football team prepare for a much-anticipated 2016 season, here are the biggest strengths and weaknesses heading into fall camp.
Biggest positive: The three key players in Tennessee’s rushing attack are back: QB Josh Dobbs and TBs Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara. They combined for 2,657 yards and 30 touchdowns last season. With what should be an improved offensive line thanks to health and experience, that trio should be able to continue shoving the ball down the throats of opposing defenses. Add in that sophomore TB John Kelly improved greatly over the spring, and the rushing attack could be even more dangerous.
